|I was introduced to Progeny by Demitri Delioncourt back in Sept of 2014. I found it intriguing , secretive. He lured me in the way it was supposed to be done, giving me just enough information, leaving me wanting more. I was "back Alley" embraced on 11/22/14 by Pandora DeLioncourt with only she , Demitri, Lazar Blackburn and Babu Springer present. No ritual, no glory, simply taken. Babu made it a point to tell me if i had any questions he was available to me. After my heart had been silenced, Demitri and Pandora told me the would return the next day to teach me the ways of the realm..that was the last night I ever saw them. After a few days and close to death, I reached out to Babu.
Babu took me under his wing, he taught me the ways of the dark how to feed, how to fight, the laws of the Realm. For that I will always be eternally grateful. Then a time came when I realized I wanted to be part of the bigger picture so I asked Babu if i could join his family. Honorably he told me no..technically I belonged to the House of the Delioncourt that was under the protection of Sovereign Lazar Blackburn, That was where I belonged. He introduced me to Sovereign Lazar and his Queen Spor, immediately I was accepted into his family and my alliance was changed to Spor, she became my mother in every sense of the word and Lazar my father.
Our family at the time was very small as a result of a great war and a huge family split. It was Myself and a younger sister named Iris. Yes we had some other family but I never saw them. It was iris and myself. We had fun, we met the "Three Kings" Lazar, Coors and Babu..we had our Diabolics Lhino and Tasha but still we needed to grow. I set about luring my friends in, seducing them with the idea of eternal life. One by one they followed. In the first year I gave 17 people eternal life. My father was pleased, but im sure he wished my potency developed faster as I had to use his. Our family now ripe and growing..my friends bringing more friends. These were glorious days, we were happy. Father often talked about becoming an Arch of the realm and we supported him every way we could. We grew and grew, people from all over the realm flocked to us in hopes of becoming part of this dynamic family.
In the interim, Fathers Ambassador, Sami Springer told me she wanted a house. I supported her relaying I would do what I could to help. We both set about doing the necessary paperwork to formally request a house. Once done and with great trepidation, we approached father. He was not happy. MY Aunty Sami fought hard for her house and finally , reluctantly he granted it. Fluer Du Mal, the poisonous Flowers. Sadly the new responsibility of being a House Leader was more then Sami expected, so she went away for weeks and months at a time leaving me her house delegate to run it. Finally I approached father out of frustration and told him, "Grant me my own house or I will leave taking everyone with me." Thus the birth of the House of the Laughing Coffin.
Not long after I began taking on more responsibility in the Clan. I developed the events committee which up until the end was quite successful. I coordinated officers meetings. I guess I behaved very much like my Fathers secretary. Making sure he was were he was supposed to be when. Then one day it happened. Our Source announced new Arches and Father was one of them. We were all so excited for him and many many party were had. But something else was happening, it was insidious, creeping in slowly almost undetectable at first. But it was happening. Father was changing.
The very first thing Arch Lazar did his, first great act was to grant me a Clan. He knew another vampire that still held a Clan but did not have time for it so he asked him to sell it to me, and he did. This was the beginning of the Apostles of Blackburn. I remember the day my Clan was born..I was talking to Father and i said, "Ok so now what do I do?" and he said, "Figure it out." So I set about "figuring it out." I must have done something right because The Clan grew quite quickly. But Father became distant, preoccupied. More and more houses and Strays moved to the line and the more that came, the more he distanced himself. I suggested he develop several committees, First being "Council to the Arch" which consisted of House and Clan leaders. The second was the infamous "High Officers" which were Arch Lazars closest friends. To me its seemed as though Arch Lazar was indiscreet with who he allowed into the family and this is when the trouble began and the beginning of the end. The line was out of control. The trouble was rampant. Father stopped being in "this" realm and communicated with the high council from another realm..directing us to do his bidding. Accusations of harassment echoed the halls of the castle, The Blackburns were anti this and anti that, we where bullys and intolerant. Honestly this is the farthest from the truth. Yes I'm sure we had a few that did not behave, or could not be controlled. But that was primarily because our Arch was not here to do so. So ALL the Blackburns were labeled like we were Pariah. At our peak, we were informed that he may be slain and the line dusted. For 3 months straight I took it upon myself personally to keep the line in order, to save it from destruction. I had worked to hard on my Clan to allow a few rogue vampires to destroy it. Then it happened.
My father Arch Lazar was gone and a new leader had emerged, one I knew nothing of and one I didn't care for. Arch Lazar had become combative, confrontational. A bully full out. Like he didn't care what happened to his family, or the work we did for him. Like he was deciding all our fates and if our line was to be eliminated so be it. One by one Clans and houses fell away. One by one loyals did too. The stress of constant conflict and accusations became to much for most, so they left. As our numbers dwindled so did Arch Lazar desire to do anything more then come in the realm stir the pot and leave. I stayed , a few other high officers did as well, until and internal conflict arose that once again was not properly addressed by our Arch. This was a sign to me it was time to take my Clan and go, and I did. For four months we were Renegade under the name The Apostles of Melrose Abbey, quietly regrouping, staying the shadows. I had spoken to this one and that one about different Arches and Lines. But I felt my clan would fit best under Ravens Claw and Arch Lledge. We are now The Apostles of Maleficium and a new journey has begun.
The Apostles spent several months Under Arch Lledge of Raven Claw. This time period being a bit of a shock to all of us. We all came from a tight knit family and had remained so as Renegades, touching base everyday with each other , hanging out, going on outings, hunting parties. But things were different there. They didnt stay connected, everyone did their own thing. Now, I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, there certainly isn't. Everyone does things differently. But we joined another Bloodline to be active, involved in a bigger family. A few Ravens Claw were very gracious , tried to make us feel at home, But I'll be honest when I say my kids felt alot like the red headed step children, they didnt like it and voiced it every opportunity they got. I called a meeting and asked they allow me to hear what they all have to say. They were not happy..I was not happy. I have said this time and again when asked why we left "What did they do wrong?" "They did nothing wrong, most were kind and polite. We just did not fit." The decision to return to Renegade status was made. I thanked Arch Lledge for his kindness and hospitality. I will forever be grateful for the time spent with The Ravens Claw Bloodline, respect them and wish them all well.
We have been Archless now for 2 maybe 3 months. Collectively we have decided to be good will Ambassadors. We follow GCSC , weekly have PV classes , weekly have fight training classes and make it a point to visit and get to know other Bloodlines. We have chosen to show the Realm that Renegade Clans are not all trouble makers. We help whatever line wherever we are needed, we invite many Bloodlines and many Clans to our events. We join other bloodlines for hunting parties and we continue to grow. For now this suits us, I think we are all of the mindset that we are committed to the Realm as a whole from the Diabolics to the fledglings and everyone in between. Being Renegade enables us to do this more freely.
