Re-Sire is a massively and mind-bogglingly complicated process. But the device I have created simplifies it as far as it is possible to simplify it and still make Moving as Voluntary as possible.

There are two types of Re-Sire Rites

A Vampire who is not part of a blood chain wants to Re-Sire to another Line or a Different vampire in their existing line. If a Full Re-Sire vampire candidate ( called the Root Re-Sire AV ) has 1 or more progeny of their own, they are given the option to allow all of their descendants ( progeny, grand progeny, great grand progeny, etc…) to join them in the move, this may just be a generation change, a Blood Line change, or both. If the Root Re-Sire AV has chosen to allow a chains move, then each of his or her descendants must also use the device in a Follow Re-Sire Rite.

Also called a Join Re-Sire, happens when a vampire who is a descendant of a Root Re-sire Vampire wishes to join their ancestor in the move, they must use the Re-Sire Device to do a Follow Re-Sire. Each and Every vampire who is a descendant of the Root Re-Sire vampire that wishes to move with them need to do this. Or they will become orphaned Vampires when the chain collapses.

==How to do a Full Re-Sire Rite:==

- The new Sire sits on the “Sire Side” bench

- The Progeny ( Root Re-Sire vampire ) sits on the “Progeny Side” bench

- Cost of the Re-Sire is calculated and options for allowing Chain Moves and Pre-Paying the sum or all of your descendants’ moves is given.

- Someone Pays the Re-Sire Fee

- Re-Sire is executed ( takes some time, it’s complicated )

- Re-Sire is Done

- if you chose to allow a Chain Move, you must notify all of your Descendants that they have an opportunity to move with you if they wish to do so. They have 15 nights to follow you in the Re-Sire.

==How to do a Follow Re-Sire:==

- The Descendant progeny who wishes to join the Re-Sire, sits on the Progeny-Side of the device. NOTE! No one should be seated on the Sire side.

- The choice of Available Re-Sire chains the Descendant is a part of are given ( if more than 1 )

- Progeny Chooses the Rite they wish to follow

- Progeny pays the Join Fee ( 1L$ or 100L$ )

- Follow is Done

- Chain Collapse and Orphan Vampires

After 15 nights from the Root-Re-Sire, the Blood Chain will collapse, any vampire who has a sire that is a Void or a Shadow will become Orphaned vampires. All Voids and Shadows are removed, Orphans are Auto-Re-Sired up to the first Actual Vampire in the Blood Chain above them ( Generation Boost ).

Expense depends on your situation. But in general Re-Sire is a truly optional element of the system and one that is massively complicated and was a major effort of development to make work correctly. It also has the tendency to get abused in favor of generation gains. All of these reasons contribute to it being expensive. But chief of these is to discourage its use except when there is serious need or great desire to move.

The 1000 L$ chain fee is strictly to allow for the chain move to be possible. And creates the void tree as place holders for your dependence to move into. Each Progeny must also pay the join fee for 3 reasons, #1 to ensure the move is voluntary, #2 some form of payment Min 1L$ is required to activate the device, #3 fairness, it is possible and has actually happened where 1 vampire who has several dozen of progeny has re-sired from gen 5 to gen 1 getting a +4 Gen Boost, each and every progeny below them who joined got that same +4 gen boost for just 100L$ each. A massive bargain.
