Eris mortal life has been shrouded in mystery for many centuries. Her cold beauty, exotic traits, her love for languages and cultures, those are the thing knowns and on those many speculations were made.
None of those speculations were close to reality, her life was less glamorous. Born out of wedlock, a child without a name.
Her mother was a maiden for a mid-class family, who died at merely 21, when Eris was about 8. The old lady of the house took pity of her and gifted Eris the power of knowledge and she learnt everything so eagerly. She grew to be beautiful and clever, a curse really, for someone with no name. Many asked her hand in marriage, but she never was interested. Many women were jealous of all the attention she'd get, so it comes as no surprise that when she turned 21, as every 18th century heroine, she got sick of Tuberculosis and her beauty withered, many smiled of joy to such news.
She always believed she'd die at the same age as her mother did. Nobody would have imagine that would also be the day she'd reborn.

Every season during the winter solstice the nobles of her town would host a huge ball full of loads of entertainments, the biggest the better, anything to impress entrepreneurs to invest in become patron of such a place.
Her stubbornness brought her to attend one last event as her sickness was taking over her strength and beauty. That's where she met her vampire mother, Verdandi.
Maybe it was the magic of the solstice that guided her path towards such powerful being like Verdandi, and as the sun's dies and reborn on the longest night of the year, so did Eris in her rebirth as a vampire.

Многие женщины завидовали тому вниманию, которое она получала, поэтому неудивительно, что, когда ей исполнился 21 год, как и каждой героине 18 века, она заболела туберкулезом и ее красота увяла, многие радостно улыбнулись такой новости. Она всегда верила, что умрет в том же возрасте, что и ее мать. Никто бы и представить себе не мог, что это тоже будет день ее возрождения.

Ее упорство заставило  посетить такое последнее мероприятие, поскольку болезнь отнимала у нее силы и красоту. Именно там она встретила свою мать-вампира, Верданди. Возможно, именно магия солнцестояния направила ее путь к такому могущественному существу, как Верданди, и как солнце умирает и возрождается в самую длинную ночь в году, так и Эрис переродилась в вампира.
