KAHINA CHILDHOOD

Born in the fall of 663 AD, under the sign of Libra, Kaïs was her real name and her parents lived in a secluded Tuareg warrior village in North Africa, more specifically on the outskirts of Mauritania. Although the villagers of the time were light skinned, Kaïs was noticeably paler and her hair was straight, although like everyone else it was jet black. His eyes had the peculiarity of being of different color each. Her conception and birth were surrounded by a mantle of mystery and secrets, so that at her birth and by her features she was baptized as fille de la lune "daughter of the moon".
From a very young age Kaïs trained in the art of battle and although her strong point was hand-to-hand combat, she showed great skill in handling weapons, especially the bow and spear. She struggled fiercely even at her young age. But she could only do all these activities when the sun was hidden, since in addition to her sensitive skin, she suffered from a strange allergy to the sun called “light polymorphic eruption”, for this reason everyone believed she had mystical characteristics attributed to her her birth, so she was sent almost daily with the old village shaman to learn hidden arts, spells, enchantments and rituals.

THE FIRST MEETING

She was 19 years old when a lonely night while singing one of her deep songs to the landscape, she felt that someone was walking behind her to what she just kept quiet waiting for the voice of her mother who was always looking for her and tirelessly recriminated to her for stay in that lonely place. But instead, she felt a strange shiver that ran down her back to bristle the beauty of her neck. Fearful of that sensation, she slowly turned her axis on her own until she could see over her shoulder that masculine figure of unparalleled beauty that looked at her at close range. Her first reaction was to wield his spear, or that was what she thought she was doing. This man was nothing like what she used to see, his penetrating gaze, black hair and skin as clear as she was, the strange shapes of the fine fabrics that covered his body and the bright ornaments that matched his outfit .
Who he was and how he had arrived there, it was a total mystery to her who, fearful and paralyzed by that strange apparition, felt her breath stir rapidly before the placid gaze of that stranger who slowly began to travel with her eyes, her body, sparsely covered with Kaïs. She usually wore her Chilaba that hid her figure, although it protected her from the intense waves of dust that the wind lifted, but that night was different. It was windy and the heat was unbearable, so she undressed her Chilaba and sat on the rock with a thin chiffon outfit that showed her body contour against the light.
He always visited her in that lonely place and quickly created a secret friendship in which she told him about her things, and he, on his side, could not be said to overflow sympathy, but had a unique charm. Thus, a few weeks passed before the man was forced to travel again, but he convinced her to take an oath to see each other again, an oath that they sealed with blood. She swore to wait for him and he promised to come back for her, so they both cut off their hands and although she seemed very strange to his gestures when he saw the blood she didn't care and so one drank from the other's blood. That act made her feel completely strange and dizzy, by the time she came to himself, he had already disappeared leaving her with a strange feeling of change in her, although Kaïs never felt that they lost contact because after a few days he began to appear in his dreams.

THE LIFE OF KAHINA

It was a time of war for the village, it was one of the few in the territory that fought against Islam in bloody fighting since the Arab invasion throughout North Africa in the mid-seventh century. Kahina as the Arabs called her was a derogatory way of referring to her, because supposedly Kaïs could see the future, in addition to having physical qualities that the Arabs related to the sorceresses and an extraordinary physical strength, strange traits for a woman. Many battles led by her and her name resonated throughout the territory. Become a priestess and military leader, she confronted the forces of the Caliphate and defeating the Muslim forces.
The Arabs were not mistaken, Kaïs had the gift of seeing what others could not, but she was not born with those gifts, her mental and physical abilities would begin long after her blood oath. She knew that the Arab troops would return for more, so she summoned the leaders of the nearby towns and invited them to get rid of all the wealth that the Arabs might be looking for. This caused the division of the peoples and therefore the weakening in the army of the young leader having to face the Arabs again with a clear disadvantage in a battle in which for her survival, she was forced to fake her death. Blamed for the fall of the leader and rejected by all, she felt that she could no longer continue and although her oath prevented her from moving from that place, she visited that rock daily without signs of the man she was waiting for.

Sitting in that usual place, she abandoned all hope, she had left and dropped back on that rock. She felt then the long-awaited presence, and there he was, looking at her as if he were so moved by her current appearance. When she returned to herself, she lay freshly bathed and naked in a comfortable padded bed and softened with some fabrics and fine animal skins, before the always calm gaze of her companion. Instinctively she covered her body with her hands, this action caused great sympathy in the man who looked at her, so much that he could not avoid approaching her and gently stroking her warm cheeks flushed with the backs of his fingers. To her surprise, his hand was very cold even when the weather was warm, the look of the man who now looked at her like a hunter at his prey, and although she felt fear, the smile on his lips ended by convince her to surrender to his charms.

Towards constant blood pacts, or that was what Kaïs thought, she had regained part of her usual joy and energy, when he decided to travel again, she had nothing to cling to that place, so she asked him to take with him. But for him, What she represented, did not generate any significant benefit, yet the young woman caught his attention in a surprising way and without seeking much explanation, that night, at 30 years old, he gave her the hug.

THE NON-LIFE OF KAHINA

A lot of time passed while Kaïs learned from whom she now called her Sire, who patiently taught her to behave in society, although that was not her forte and the arcane vampire eventually lost patience with her, she was fast learner, especially in the blood management and lineage skills. She understood then that, at the time of drinking the vampire's blood that opportunity she acquired powers, so she could see what others could not and see it in her dreams.
As always as impetuous, proud and as free as when she was mortal, although now the behavior in her Non-Life was accentuated, making her a bit arrogant and sarcastic. Her sire had taken the special and unusual trouble of taking her with him on each trip to different countries such as Italy, Spain, England, France, Mexico, Brazil, among others. In each country he was in charge of putting her a particular teacher of the language to be handled as well as teachers in Grammar, Philosophy and Arts, who turned out to be nothing more than Ghouls at the service of her sire. She became so confident and comfortable that she began to rub shoulders with famous vampires, learning everything she could from them but did not let go of the political and business issues that she very dangerously heard from her Sire at his meetings.

HIBERNATION AND AWAKENING

By 1230, she had just resided in Venice and changed her name, Kahina, as she now called herself recalling her past, took the role of Historian, and later, to maintain her masquerade, she began to hibernate for several centuries. After waking from her hibernation by her sire's call in the 1900s, she found herself in a completely different world, and with much information to process.

The creations of the sects and the technology that ruled over all things overwhelmed her a bit although it did not take long to get used to the new world by realizing the change in behavior of people who were open to all new experiences. She spent much of her time with her sire, children and other clan members, becoming part of the inner circle of the council, until she decided to travel again and resided in London (England) under the name of Kahina Spina, where, She decides to found a group called Baalberith, always being loyal to her sire and working hard for the welfare and growth of hier lineage.
