Diabolic Law Temporary Moratorium on Home Invasion

Established September 10, 2021

From this day forward until Territory and Home Stakes are released no vampire may attack another vampire without consent in the private home of another vampire where the intended victim is the land’s owner or an invited guest.

Taking part in organized RP story ( Progeny SLARP ) is exempt from this law with the Story Teller GM’s permission

This law will be lifted when the two system features are introduced that will make Defense and Legal issues clearer and fairer. Not everyone in Progeny is here to fight.

A Private Home is defined as private land owned by a Progeny Vampire, Parcel or Region intended for private personal use. This protection extends to the owner and any guests who have been granted Guest Right by the rightful owner.

Diabolic Mandate for Public Civility for Ranking Community Members

Established April 13, 2021

All Vampires who are Recognized Clan Officers, Being Proxy, Ambassador, Co-Sovereign and Sovereign,
and Vampires of the Blood being Blood Regents and Arch Vampires, are required to treat each other with
respect and in a diplomatic manner in all Public Venues and within Official Diabolically sponsored channels
(such as the Arch Conclave and GCSC council Meetings which are not officially public venues)

All Vampires below the station of Clan officers must likewise treat with respect all vampires equal to or
above that station, with respect and decorum due to their station, in all Public venues, as well as Diabolically
Sponsored Private Venues.

This law does not extend to private thought, private conversations, however sharing of disrespectful comments
from private conversations by any participant in that private conversation will be treated as a violation of the above law.

I do not like having to place rules on individual behavior or but vampires of Clan officer and above must be held to
a high standard of public behavior because they do represent the public face of our community.

Punishment for Violation of this law

Will be determined on a case by case basis by the Diabolic Conclave but may be deferred to the Arch Tribunal
at the discretion of the Diabolic Conclave.

Possible Punitive measures will be based on the severity of the violation but may include the following.

1. Fang Breakage for a set period of time The vampire will not be able to feed or defend themselves, they will be dependent upon the blood bank for survival until their fangs grow back.

2. Fang Dulling for a set period of time The vampire will be able to feed on Quick, but not other vampires until their fangs grow back.

Both of the above can be applied to the individual or group as deemed appropriate by the Diabolic Team.

3. Blood Line Sanctions for a set period of time The entire bloodline of an arch Can be placed in Suspension ( as if extinct ) for a set period of time. Where vampires will not be able to re-sire into or sire new offspring during that period.

General System Laws

Taken from the Scribe's Guild notecard Progeny System Laws As of April 2017.

1. There is no biting anywhere within 30 meters of Lachiel or a Diabolic anywhere in world unless permission is given by Lachiel or the Diabolic in question.

2. There are to be no attacks of any kind anywhere on the Grave Designs sim.

• Attacks consist of any acts of aggression (such as, but not limited to; biting or combat with weapons) not agreed upon previously by all parties involved. Such agreements need to be recorded and provided upon request or the actions will be assumed not to have been consented to.

• One hour before and/or after and also during any GD event, including Council meetings, dances, and etc, there are to be no attacks of any kind whether consent is given or not. Hunger is expressly forbidden at these times.

3. The use of invisibility devices that remove the name tag are strictly prohibited.

4.The use of devices which offset an avatar's position are strictly prohibited, this does not include followers.

5. The use of non-Progeny huds (magic, griefing, particles, combat, or otherwise) that freeze, detain, or intentionally lag an avatar are strictly prohibited. MUST be witnessed by a member of the Diabolic team.

Grave Designs Sim Rules

The following rules apply to all on Grave. To teleport down to the Castle Grounds of Progeny, you are agreeing to follow these rules. Should you break them, you will be permanently banned from the Progeny SIM. These rules only are in effect when on the Progeny SIM.

1. There are no attacks of any kind anywhere on the sim. Attacks during sanctioned RP events or the Ravage events are exempt from this rule.

2. Griefing will not be tolerated. All TOS rules are to be observed.

3. This is a Mature SIM, not an adult sim. No nudity, and no public sexual acts.

4. Child avatars are allowed, provided they follow the ruling below.

Major Rulings

Ruling on Child Avatars

In light of a recent incident on the sim regarding child avatars, our Source has stated the following:

1. My general stance on it is any AV may be played, so long as it is in keeping with SL TOS.

2. Specifically with regards to Child AVs, no Age-play/Sexual Behavior will be allowed on the Progeny SIM.

3. Vampires who wish to manifest themselves as a Claudia style vampire are more than welcome to do so, so long as they maintain the standards of SL decency.

Ruling on Freebie Galaxy

By Majority Rule of the Arch Conclave, the SIM known as Ibiza (freebie galaxy) is now declared a Lawless Wasteland.

• Vampires who travel there do so at their own risk.
• No Diabolic Law, Inter-Clan Law, or Intra-Clan Law will be enforced at that location.

Ruling on the Masquerade

1. No vampire will show a Human their scans.
2. No vampire will reveal another vampires true identity of being a vampire.
3. Information about bites shall not be revealed to any non-vampire.

Example

1. Sharing of private system data (i.e. bite logs or bite notifications with a non-player is a direct violation
2. A progeny vampire running around with the progeny t-shirt and screaming 'I am a Progeny Vampire' is not a violation, but saying someone else is a Progeny vampire is a violation.

Progeny Group Chat Rules

PV chat exists for system wide announcements, inquiries for help and of a general interest, and for issues that concern the majority of PV members. It is a privilege not a right to utilize these groups.

Guidelines/Rules for Progeny Vampire Group Chat (applies to all official Progeny related chat groups):

1. DO NOT use foul language!

2. Be considerate and respectful to ALL of the members of the Progeny community, especially the Source, Diabolics, Arch Vampires,Infernals and Blood Regents.

3. PV chat does NOT exist for bragging about attacks, insulting other PV members, gloating/boasting, or “chatter” that is directed primarily at a single member/house and would be better delivered in IM or a clan/house/private group chat.

For example, a public declaration that a state of war between two houses exists is entirely appropriate for PV chat. Bragging about killing enemies or insulting them is NOT appropriate, NOR is including a copy/paste scan of players current status.

4. Discriminatory discussions involving racial, sexual, religious, political, vulgar, and argumentative views are discouraged.

5. Take arguments to private IM.

6. If someone asks for help, please help if you can.

7. Complaints or inquiries about abusive behavior (such as cheating/illegal use of objects/attacking at work or home/etc.) should be addressed by inquiring for a Marshal, Diabolic, or Infernal in PV chat, then presenting the information in private IM. “So-and-so is a cheater who can’t fight” is NOT acceptable PV chat content.

8. DO NOT post any type of web-links into the Group.

9. DO NOT post any bounties in any of the Progeny Official Groups.

• If the chat is offending you or you find it overwhelming, use the small x to close the window.

Violators of either the letter or the spirit of these guidelines will be addressed as follows:

• simple warning to stop from an Arch, a Diabolic or an Infernal.

• if ignored or repeated, a 30-day ban from PV chat, subject to appeal to a Diabolic.

These chat rules supersede any earlier chat rules.

"Thou Shalt Not use Progeny System Components to attack others while on Parcels and Regions where you are banned"

Vampires who are Region or Parcel Banned and use third party tools to access those restricted locations, and subsequently use Progeny Components to attack individuals who have rights to be on those locations will be in violation of this rule " e.g. Circumventing SL's built in security". This sort of activity can cause the Lindens to take negative action against our system and community. As such this sort of behavior is deemed "System Sabotage"

This type of allegation will be immediately kicked up to your Patron Diabolic or any member of the Diabolic Conclave, along with corroborating evidence.

Proof Required to Support Allegations:

   Validation/Screen Shot of Region/Parcel Ban record showing the individual has been banned since date.
   Approx. Date, Time and Location of the Attack.
   Victims UUID
   Attackers UUID

Progeny Bite logs will be used by the Diabolic team to verify the attackers location at the time of the attack.

Penalty:

• First Offence: 3 month System ban - 1/2 your age + Clan/House Strike
• Second Office: 6 month ban - Everyone under you loses 1/2 your age

3rd: Permanent Ban you and everyone under you.

• • Clan/House Strike: if a given clan or house has an excessive number of diabolic level offence strikes it will be issued a warning, continued accumulation of strikes may result in dissolution.
