Re-Sire is a massively and mind-bogglingly complicated process. But the device I have created simplifies it as far as it is possible to simplify it and still make Moving as Voluntary as possible.
There is one type of Re-Sire Rite
Full Re-Sire Rite:
A Vampire who is not part of a blood chain wants to Re-Sire to another Line or a Different vampire in their existing line. If a Full Re-Sire vampire candidate (called the Root Re-Sire) has 1 or more progeny of their own, they are given the option to allow all of their descendants (progeny, grand progeny, great grand progeny, etc…) to join them in the move; this may just be a generation change, a Blood Line change, or both. If the Root Re-Sire AV has chosen to allow a chain's move, then each of his or her descendants must automatically follow a Re-Sire Rite.
How to do a Full Re-Sire Rite:
- The new Sire vampire stands on the “Left Side” of the red carpet, and in front of the podium
- The Progeny (Vampire to be Re-Sired) stands on the “Right Side” of the red carpet, and in front of the podium
- Cost of the Re-Sire is free until further notice.
- Sire touches the left hand of the podium. The menu opens, and you must select "START"
- The vampire being resired must then click on the right hand of the podium to start the Resire.
- Resire will be done in 10 seconds
Do I need to re-sire to join a new clan?
No, you can re-liege and become a follower of a vampire in the new clan and become a member of the clan by going to the Books. This is free to do. Re-Sire should only be used in extreme situations where you find it unacceptable to remain the progeny of your original sire.
How come some of my Minions cannot join my re-sire but others can?
Only your direct descendants (your direct progeny or their direct progeny etc. ) can join your re-sire, vampire who follow you but are not your blood descendants cannot join your re-sire, if you have some Minions who wish to join your re-sire, and you will be making a Upwards change of generations, they will automatically follow your resire.
