The Lasombra Clan was founded by Suraya Selijan, who achieved what many believed impossible—transforming a rogue house into an officially recognized GCSC clan. This act established Lasombra’s identity as proud, independent, and unafraid to challenge convention.
From its beginning, Lasombra has stood for one core belief:

Founding Era — Suraya Selijan
Under Suraya’s leadership, Lasombra emerged as a clan defined by strength of will and iconoclastic thinking. She laid the foundation for a lineage that would never be bound by tradition alone.
When Suraya was required to leave the Second Life world for an extended absence, leadership of the clan was transferred to Princeps Jarl Horngold and Ambassador Parthenia Church-Horngold, who ruled as co-sovereigns.
The Horngold–Parthenia Era
Under Jarl Horngold and Parthenia Church-Horngold, Lasombra continued Suraya’s philosophy while expanding it in a way that would shape bloodline history.
During this time, Lasombra made the unconventional decision to pledge loyalty not to the bloodline into which its members were born, but to the Ravens Claw bloodline, based on shared ideology and diplomatic alignment.
At the time, this was considered highly controversial. Blood was expected to dictate loyalty, and the resire system had not yet been created to allow vampires to change their bloodline.
Lasombra rejected that limitation.
The clan maintained that loyalty could be chosen through belief and alliance, not determined by HUD mechanics or origin.
Parthenia remained steadfast in this stance despite criticism. When the resire system was later introduced, she formally joined Ravens Claw—and her entire line followed.
She went on to serve as Blood Regent within Ravens Claw and was later elevated to Arch, where she gained the authority to form her own bloodline.
Because of this legacy, Lasombra became the founding clan of the Church-Horngold bloodline, and many clans within that bloodline trace their origins back to Lasombra.
Apotheosis and Succession (2018)
In January 2018, Parthenia Church-Horngold was chosen to become a Diabolic and underwent Apotheosis.
With her ascension, sovereignty of Lasombra passed to her daughter:
Kylie Fang.
The Sovereignty of Kylie Fang
Under Sovereign Kylie Fang, Lasombra continued to grow while preserving the core values established by its founders.
Kylie pledged loyalty to Arch Chano and the Church-Horngold bloodline, where she served as Arch Advisor, working closely with Blood Regent Alejandra.
During the Red War of 2020, significant revelations made it impossible for Lasombra to remain aligned with Church-Horngold (later known as the Church-Ponteveccio bloodline).
In response, Kylie chose to withdraw the clan rather than compromise its principles.
Lasombra later found temporary refuge under Arch Neuntoter within the HDLO bloodline, where it experienced a period of stability and acceptance.
In January 2021, Kylie Fang accepted the role of Blood Regent for the newly formed Forsaken bloodline under Arch Gaven.
In 2023, Kylie Fang was elevated to the rank of Arch, continuing the Lasombra tradition of leadership earned through strength, service, and conviction.
The Ascension of Hev
In time, Kylie Fang elevated her daughter, Hev, from co-sovereign to Sovereign of Clan Lasombra.
This transition was not driven by absence or necessity, but by deliberate choice and confidence in the strength of the lineage.
The Current Era — Hev
Under Sovereign Hev, Lasombra continues as a clan defined by independence, chosen loyalty, and strength of leadership.

The blood they drank mingled forever with the salt of the sea. Their fangs carried the bite of the tide, their bodies surged with the strength of the waves. They became both cursed and blessed: vampires of the ocean, immortal children of the tide and the moon. From them, we were born: the Vampiric Warriors of Iemanjá. Our veins flow with salt and blood. Our shadows melt with the sea fog. Our war-cries thunder like the storming waves. We are hunters of the night, yet children of an oceanic Mother.
